Synopsis
This web commercial, created as an April Fools' prank for Kao Japan, promotes the real products Essential Free & Easy Cool Wax Shampoo and Conditioner. These items are designed to remove wax from men's hair and condition it for future styling. The quirky animation was directed by Takashi Taniguchi, known for his eccentric style. The story follows a man who finds the daily chore of removing hair wax tedious, often causing frustration and hair-pulling, only to have to reapply the wax the next day. An anthropomorphized version of the shampoo and conditioner suggests using their products to solve his problem, and he happily discovers they do.
