Synopsis
Set primarily in the Kawasaki City Kanagawa region around the Tama River, the story depicts conflicts between the villainous organization Florsheim and the heroic Sunred. The central twist lies in the character dynamics: Sunred, whom acquaintances often call Red-san, is a rude, violent, and rough-talking hero, whereas the Florsheim villains, led by General Vamp, are largely polite, conscientious, and easy-going. Despite these inverted traits, both factions remain true to their roles, with Florsheim committed to destroying Sunred and conquering the world, while Sunred fights back against them. Other heroes and evil organizations are occasionally mentioned as well. The series format consists of episodes divided into various shorts of differing lengths. Much of the humor stems from character interactions, particularly among the main trio of Sunred, his girlfriend Kayoko, and General Vamp. Kayoko and Vamp get along exceptionally well, with her sometimes consulting him on cooking or housework, while she and Sunred frequently bicker like an old married couple.
