Synopsis

With Earth's population reaching critical levels, humanity colonized other worlds, adapting to their new environments. This era of prosperity came to an abrupt end when Pluto was attacked without warning by unknown forces, wiping out every inhabitant. It soon became clear that these enemies intended to extinguish the entire human race. The invaders utilize the knowledge and energy of their human prisoners to pilot enormous mechanical war machines, which their victims have come to dread as "Apocalypse." In 2199, Second Lieutenant Jonathan Tyberius passes his qualifying exams and enters the elite military training program designed to prepare him for piloting human-operated mechas. Throughout his demanding training, Jonathan develops a strong friendship with his new roommate, Leonard Schteinberg. Beneath the rigid discipline of the military base, corruption runs deep. As buried memories surface and a merciless authority figure tightens his grip, Jonathan and Leonard begin to wonder if their real enemy might be far closer than the alien threat.

The OVA was made with the cooperation of the gay men's magazine Barazoku. A second episode was planned to be released, but production was cancelled to focus on the last episode of Giant Robo.
