The Qwaser of Stigmata

Synopsis

After Tomo Yamanobe's father, the former headmaster of Saint Mikhailov Academy, vanished without a trace, he left behind only a piece of artwork known as the "icon." Soon after, rumors spread about a serial killer targeting female students at the academy. One day, Tomo and her sister Mafuyu Oribe were walking home from school after enduring bullying when they encountered an injured silver-haired boy. Tomo tried to help him, but he disappeared before their eyes. Mafuyu went to search for the boy and discovered the church housing the icon engulfed in flames. As she attempted to retrieve the painting, she was attacked by the suspected serial killer, who possessed the ability to manipulate magnesium. At that moment, the silver-haired boy reappeared, now revealed as Sasha Alexander Nikolaevich Hell, who could control iron and saved Mafuyu from harm. Learning that Sasha is a "qwaser," a being with the power to manipulate elements through "soma," a strength derived from breastfeeding, Mafuyu struggles to make sense of these strange events. Her confusion deepens when Sasha enrolls in her class the next day. How will Tomo and Mafuyu's everyday school life continue with other menacing qwasers nearby?

Background

Seikon no Qwaser uses content from the first seven volumes of the manga as its source material, but drastically deviates to create an anime-exclusive finale. It was also heavily censored during its initial broadcast due to an excessive amount of sexual content.
