Synopsis
TV Asahi has revealed a new children's anime titled Kaidan Restaurant (Thriller Restaurant), adapted from a series of picture books. Each episode is split into three sections called "dishes": the starter, the main course, and dessert. The initial two segments focus on Ako Ozara, a regular sixth-grader, and the strange events happening to her classmates. The final segment features a brief, self-contained ghost story narrated by Ako and her friends.
Background
In 2010 a film based on Kaidan Restaurant was directed by Ochiai Masayuki. The film is a mix of live-action and animation.
