Synopsis
In "Hungry Heart: Wild Striker," Kyousuke Kanou, the younger brother of famous soccer player Seisuke Kanou, carried the heavy expectation to match his sibling's achievements from an early age. This weight caused Kyousuke to fall short, leaving him stuck in his brother's large shadow. Now a first-year student at Jouyou Akanegaoka high school, Kyousuke has completely given up on soccer. But Miki Tsujiwaki, the captain of the girls' soccer team, and Mori Kazuto, the boys' team manager, see Kyousuke's talent and are set on sparking his love for the game again—each for their own reasons. As the chance to return to soccer appears, Kyousuke must decide between staying true to his choice to abandon the sport he once loved or letting his passion come back and chasing his goal of becoming the top striker in the world.
