Synopsis
In "Shouri Toushu," baseball coach Hoshiyama recognizes exceptional talent in Katsumi Kunimasa, a standout player from the student team that won the summer tournament. He offers a professional contract to this young pitcher, who subsequently joins the Chunchi Dragons, her father's team. Over a single year, Katsumi's extraordinary abilities guide the Dragons to triumph at the prestigious Koshien Stadium in the national championships. Inspired by Noriko Umeda's manga, this anime bears resemblance to another girls' baseball series, "Song of the Baseball Enthusiasts." The Dragons' lineup is modeled after a real team, though their opponents are fictional. Initially a commentator, Hoshiyama later becomes the Dragons' manager, connecting the story with real life.
