Synopsis

Daisuke Niwa is a timid and self-conscious middle school student. On his fourteenth birthday, he finally works up the courage to express his long-held feelings for Risa Harada, but she turns him down. To his shock, Daisuke discovers that whenever thoughts of Risa cross his mind, he transforms into Dark Mousy—a notorious phantom thief. Though Daisuke is bewildered by this strange ability, his mother has been aware of it all along and has been using his transformations to keep the legendary thief's reputation alive by stealing valuable works of art. As Daisuke struggles to understand these new upheavals and how they affect his relationships, he comes to realize that he is not the only one burdened by a family legacy. His toughest ordeal may come from a classmate he never anticipated confronting.
