Synopsis

Continues the story of The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3

In "The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3," the movement opposing magic gains traction, driven by various rival groups. Acting on information from the Yotsuba family, Tatsuya Shiba works to expose the schemes of corrupt officials and unethical journalists. He manages to stop the first assault intended to turn First High School into an unofficial military training facility. But his most dangerous enemies have yet to reveal their true plans. To protect his tranquil life alongside his sister Miyuki, Tatsuya must prove once again that he cannot be outplayed.

This film adapts the Yotsuba Succession Arc from Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. An invitation has been extended for the New Year's Reception at the Yotsuba family estate. This year, Miyuki and other contenders will convene to determine the next leader of their influential clan. Becoming the successor would mean Miyuki would never again have to watch her brother live as an outcast. However, accepting such a role almost certainly requires a political marriage, leaving her mind in a state of utter turmoil. Matters grow more complicated when the current family head casts doubt on their bond with the startling assertion that Miyuki is not Tatsuya's sister. As the new year arrives, their relationship may be altered forever.
