Admiral's Diary

Synopsis

An animated film depicts the life of Korean Admiral Yi Sun-sin, based on his wartime diary Nanjung Ilgi. When Japanese spies sabotage the turtle ship being built by naval engineer Na Dae-yong and assault his family, Yi Sun-sin defeats the spies and saves him; in the final Battle of Noryang, Yi Sun-sin destroys the escaping Japanese fleet with turtle ships and a crane battle formation, succumbing after being hit by enemy gunfire while rescuing a child soldier, to whom he leaves his bow.
