Synopsis
In the technologically and magically advanced Wahrheit Empire, rumors of an approaching catastrophe called the "light" spread unease among the populace. Transporter Innumael Grauer, who works to support himself and his sister, follows his daily delivery routes through the capital. One day while on duty, he receives assistance from Leocadio Wöhler, a new soldier, who unknowingly transports a hidden contraband weapon belonging to a criminal organization. As a result, Innumael is falsely accused of smuggling and faces execution under the Empire's strict weapon regulations, all while turmoil escalates. Ironically, the same syndicate that framed him may offer temporary salvation. Meanwhile, Leocadio receives his first mission: to capture the "Headkeeper," a group allegedly involved in illegal arms trafficking. "Magatsu Wahrheit: Zuerst" follows the intersecting paths of these two young men as they journey through the Empire, setting off a chain of events that will change their destinies and reshape the future of the Wahrheit Empire.
Background
Magatsu Wahrheit: Zuerst is an adaptation of the mobile MMORPG Magatsu Wahrheit, developed and published by KLab. The game company announced the adaptation on March 24, 2018 as an "animation project" upon the launch of the smartphone game's website. On April 23, 2020, an official website revealed the production of the television series.
