Synopsis
Long ago, a Persian merchant becomes lost during a fierce windstorm. Suddenly, a spiritual deer of nine colors appears to guide the man. Later, the deer saves a man who is drowning in a river. In return, the man vows never to reveal the deer's location. Upon reaching an imperial palace, the king demands that the spiritual deer be hunted so its skin can be made into clothing. Succumbing to greed, the man leads an army of warriors to the deer's hiding spot. He then falls back into the river, hoping the deer will rescue him once more. This time, however, all the warriors' arrows turn to dust, and the man drowns.
