In *Miss Monochrome The Animation*, the main character is an android who runs on a single AA battery and lives with her robotic vacuum cleaner companion, Ruu-chan. Driven by recurring, unexplained dreams about the idol Kikuko, Miss Monochrome sets out on a journey to achieve stardom, hoping to meet the figure from her dreams. Along the way, she encounters numerous obstacles and works diligently to build her own idol career. Her unconventional methods, like recruiting her manager from a convenience store, make her stand out in the entertainment industry. Through her unwavering determination, she consistently draws attention despite her unusual tactics, and continues to shine under the spotlight.

During the Ultra Super Pictures Special Stage at AnimeJapan 2015 on Saturday, it was announced that the Miss Monochrome television anime series is getting a second season. This new season is scheduled to premiere on July 3, 2015, airing within the half-hour Ultra Super Anime Time programming block.
