Synopsis
Set against a backdrop evocative of medieval Europe, the Holy Knights of Britannia utilize powerful magic to safeguard the land and its kingdoms. Within their ranks, a group called the Seven Deadly Sins is said to have betrayed the nation in an attempt to seize control of Liones. Although they were supposedly defeated by their fellow knights, rumors persisted that the Sinners had escaped. Ten years after these events, the Holy Knights staged a coup, overthrowing the Kingdom of Liones and governing with tyranny. The story of Nanatsu no Taizai centers on Elizabeth, the third princess of Liones, who sets out on a quest to find the Seven Deadly Sins. Her goal is to form an alliance with them to liberate her kingdom from the Holy Knights' unjust rule and restore justice to the corrupted realm.
