In the middle of Angelique's ordinary school life, the world is increasingly threatened by attacks from the terrifying Thanatos creatures. Suddenly, two Purifiers—individuals capable of destroying Thanatos—appear. Nyx, one of these Purifiers, tries to persuade Angelique to join their group, suggesting she has the potential to become the first female Purifier. But before she can decide, a Thanatos invades her school. Nyx and his companion, Rayne, fight the monster but struggle to overcome it. When her classmates fall victim to the Thanatos and the Purifiers are overwhelmed, Angelique's instinct to protect those around her awakens. As a result, she becomes the only female Purifier in Arcadia, known as the "Queen's Egg."

In this installment

Continuing from where the first season ended, the sudden increase of Thanatos alongside the disappearance of the Aube Hunters has left Arcadia in ruins. Desperation runs high as the Religious Organization struggles to fight the Thanatos. Six months have passed since Hidamari mansion burned to ashes, and the Aube Hunters, once hailed as heroes, are now blamed for the appearance of Thanatos. Nevertheless, hope still remains for the eventual reappearance of the Queen's Egg, who will become Arcadia's savior. Unknown to many, however, the Aube Hunters have actually been silently waiting for the awakening of Angelique, who has been asleep the entire time.
