Synopsis
Perestroika is a short animation series made up of twelve episodes, each running two minutes. It focuses on three Russian immigrants living in an unnamed country, who are perpetually trying to obtain their next meal. Their constant hunger often pushes them into strange predicaments and prompts inventive plans. The series uses miniature backgrounds and props built at 1:12 and 1:24 scales, calling to mind classic stop-motion animation. This combination of traditional and digital techniques produces a unique and visually unified style.
