Synopsis

In the wake of the Global Synchronic Urban Disappearance, an event that caused a large portion of Ikebukuro to vanish without a trace five years ago, the area remains in chaos. Strange electromagnetic phenomena known as "Auroras" have become a common occurrence. High school student Seria Morino finds herself mesmerized by a performance from idol Izumi Hinazaki, who uses the "Super Material Theater"—a stage that employs holographic technology—to breathe new life into Ikebukuro. Inspired by this, Seria sets her sights on becoming an idol herself. Soon after, she is approached by Kaoru Sakakibara, the director of Alice in Theater, the very group Izumi once belonged to. Driven by a strong determination to chase her dreams, Seria decides to join Alice in Theater. When she arrives at their base, she is warmly welcomed by a group of energetic and kind-hearted girls. However, despite the friendly atmosphere, a subtle undercurrent of unease lingers in the air.

Background

Gekidol's first episode was aired along with Alice in Deadly School on January 4, 2021 as part of a New Year's special. The series was broadcasted from January 5, 2021 to March 23, 2021. A Blu-ray Box containing all 12 episodes was released on March 3, 2021.
