Synopsis
At Mihama Academy, a prison-like institution designed to safeguard fruit that has strayed too far from its tree, five female students live out their days in idleness within the school's walls, each having their own personal motives for being there. Then Kazami Yuuji, the first male student ever to enroll at the institute, arrives and throws the academy's peaceful routine into disarray. Could Yuuji be exactly what these girls need to take hold of their lives once more, or will the weight of their pasts prove to be an insurmountable obstacle? And could it be that his own past carries a burden even heavier than any of theirs?

Grisaia no Kajitsu is based on a visual novel by FrontWing. Some of the visual novel's voice actresses reprise their roles in the anime.
