Synopsis
Anemone was created as a search for answers about hope and what it means to keep living toward the future. For the past ten years, Japan has reportedly seen more than 30,000 suicides annually—roughly ten times the number of soldiers who died in the Iraq War. I lack the power to resolve this problem facing Japan. But through the power of animation, I hope to awaken even a few dreams and a little desire in those who watch it, so that they may find the courage to live on into the future.
