Synopsis

Following the conclusion of the Kimagure Orange Road TV series, Kyosuke and Madoka reach the brink of graduation, facing the critical decision of which college to attend. Naturally desiring to stay together, they must balance their studies with the search for a university that will accept both of them. Hikaru, who still has a year remaining before her own graduation, attempts to support Kyosuke in her unique fashion. However, her involvement sparks jealousy in Madoka, prompting her to finally confess her true feelings to Kyosuke. Faced with this emotional crossroads, Kyosuke must take decisive action to choose the girl he truly loves, bringing the story of Kimagure Orange Road to a definitive close.

In this installment

Several years have passed, and Kyosuke Kasuga is now nineteen. He receives a cryptic phone call warning him about approaching vehicles, but he ignores it. Ironically, he is struck by a car, and due to his telepathic powers, he is thrown three years into the future. His twenty-two-year-old future counterpart is a photographer who has gone missing in Bosnia and is presumed dead. Kyosuke must locate that future self and return his nineteen-year-old self to the proper time. During this journey, he meets Hikaru again, who has become a famous professional dancer. Madoka is also present, troubled by both the disappearance of the twenty-two-year-old Kyosuke in Bosnia and the car accident involving the nineteen-year-old Kyosuke.
