Synopsis
GUMI, Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, and Kagamine Rin operate a junk collection service in a cluttered downtown area. They drive a light truck to pick up discarded electronics and other items, announcing themselves with cheerful loudspeaker broadcasts. Their workspace, situated in a corner of a multi-tenant building, looks like a recycling shop but is essentially a storage space filled with various goods, each tagged with a price. Soon, they start receiving requests for larger items they can't handle alone, and occasionally, abandoned objects end up in GUMI's care. In the city center, an environmental group forms, planning a cleanup initiative in the downtown district under the guise of urban renewal. GUMI and her team oppose these changes, which threaten the unique lifestyle of their neighborhood. As governmental and beautification efforts converge, a new threat emerges when news breaks of a dangerous creature found at the local landfill. This prompts an urgent decision to clear both the landfill and downtown area, turning them into empty lots.
