バジリスク ~桜花忍法帖~
Synopsis
Continues the story of Basilisk
The enduring feud between the Iga and Kouga ninja clans is interrupted by a truce imposed by the powerful warlord Ieyasu Tokugawa, forcing both sides to abandon hostilities. Over time, Gennosuke Kouga, heir of the Kouga clan, and Oboro Iga, heir of the Iga clan, fall deeply in love, hoping their bond will bring lasting peace. Their hopes are shattered when old hatreds resurface, dragging them back into battle. Ieyasu's two grandsons compete for succession to the shogunate, leading to a deadly contest: each clan must send its ten finest warriors into a battle royale, each fighter pledging loyalty to one of the contenders. Two scrolls are given, each to be marked in blood as a warrior falls. The victorious clan will secure the Tokugawa shogunate's backing for a thousand years. Torn between love and clan loyalty, Gennosuke and Oboro must decide the fate of their families.
In this installment
Ten years after the conclusion of the hostilities between the Iga and Kouga ninja clans, a fragile peace has taken hold. Yet, beneath this surface calm, lingering resentment continues to smolder. Hachirou Kouga and Hibiki Iga, descendants of their respective families, appear to be on the verge of a budding romance. However, not everyone is content with how the previous conflict was resolved. Disagreements over the accounts of the decisive battle between Gennosous Kouga and Oboro Iga have sparked discontent among certain figures, including Tadanaga Tokugawa, who once served as a patron of the Kouga clan. As tensions between the clans reemerge, the shifting political landscape threatens to tear apart Hachirou and Hibiki, echoing the tragic fate of their predecessors.
