Continues the story of Cardfight!! Vanguard G
A new era of Cardfighting is about to unfold. Chrono Shindou is an ordinary middle school student whose intimidating appearance often makes others wary, though he possesses a gentle nature and is well-liked by younger children. One day, Chrono discovers a mysterious Cardfight deck called Gear Chronicle inside his school locker. He brings it to Card Capital 2, where he encounters Kamui Katsuragi. Kamui instructs Chrono in the game's fundamentals, paving the way for him to build friendships and rivalries through the joy of playing—including his future comrades Shion Kiba and Tokoha Anjou.

This autumn, the Federation of International Vanguard Associations (FIVA) will host a major event called "G Quest." Participants who successfully complete six Branch Quests will earn the title of "Generation Master" and gain the opportunity to become a Clan Leader. Although the members of TRY3 are enthusiastic about these new objectives, a vast conspiracy threatening to destroy Vanguard has been quietly set into motion.
