Synopsis

In a world where humans and demi-humans clash for dominance, society is split by the presence of guardian bearers—chosen individuals granted the protection of Land Gods, marked by sacred crests and immense spiritual power that elevate them above ordinary people in both status and strength. Kai, a common soldier from the human settlement of Lag, longs for greater power to better his circumstances. Faint recollections of another world hint at a special path to gaining this strength, yet fear of the consequences keeps him from accessing these dormant abilities. After a series of strange events grant him the powers of a guardian bearer, Kai's initial relief is overshadowed by the harsh reality that he must conceal his new abilities in a world rife with scrutiny and hidden dangers. Determined to refine his skills and unravel the mysteries behind them, Kai sets out on a journey to understand the origins of his power.
