Synopsis

During a routine shopping trip, high school student Ruri Tanigawa becomes fascinated by a crystal pendant that is beyond her budget. Her mother then recalls a mountainous area where Ruri's grandfather once discovered many minerals. Wanting to gather materials to make her own jewelry, Ruri goes to this location and meets Nagi Arato, a graduate student, who agrees to help guide her. When they reach a huge quartz deposit, Ruri is amazed. Her resolve strengthens, and she persuades Nagi to teach her more about studying minerals. As Ruri makes new discoveries and learns from Nagi, her understanding of the true value of minerals grows beyond just their monetary worth.
