My Daddy Long Legs

Synopsis

The story of Daddy Long Legs is adapted from Jean Webster's novel of the same name. It follows the life of Judy Abbott, an orphan living in New York. At a meeting held for the superintendent, attended by wealthy and influential figures, Judy is given a scholarship by an anonymous benefactor. Since she only sees the tall shadow he casts as he departs, she nicknames him "Daddy Long Legs" and sends him letters every month, just as he asked. During her time at the Lincoln Memorial school, Judy forms friendships and discovers a world beyond anything she had known.
