Synopsis

Continues the story of Fox Spirit Matchmaker

Love between a human and a near-immortal youkai can outlast death itself. Fox spirit youkai have devised a way: a human can be reborn, and with the aid of a Fox Spirit Matchmaker, slowly recover memories of their past life so the couple can start over together. Enter Bai Yuechu, a mighty human Taoist who yearns to escape the rule of the Yi Qi Dao League, and Tushan Susu, a tiny, innocent fox spirit who hopes to become a celebrated matchmaker despite being known as an utter catastrophe. When Susu literally crashes through his roof, Yuechu is swept into her quest to reunite two parted lovers: Prince Fan Yun Fei and his reincarnated beloved, Li Xueyang. Yet not everyone wants them back together—including Xueyang herself. Thrown together by fate, Yuechu and Susu will uncover who they truly are... and who they used to be.

Background

Episodes 14-27 of Huyao Xiao Hongniang. A Japanese dub of the series aired on television under the title Enmusubi no Youko-chan starting on August 12, 2017. Each TV episode was comprised of two ONA episodes with minor aesthetic touch-ups, this season's story arc was covered in episode 7-13 of the Japanese release with the last leg of the 13th episode leaking into the next arc.
