Kaibutsu-kun

Synopsis

These specials from the colorized Kaibutsu-kun anime came out in 1980. The first three episodes were broadcast in a row on a single day right after episode 25, as a tribute to Taro Sagami, who originally voiced Franken and had passed away the day prior. After those episodes, Shingo Kanemoto assumed the role. The following three episodes were New Year’s specials that aired after episode 57. In contrast to the normal series, which had two roughly 15-minute stories per half-hour block, these specials each contained only one story, except for episodes 3 and 5, which occupied the entire time slot with their respective narratives.
