Synopsis
The ground trembled, the ocean thundered, and then an even greater catastrophe followed. And after that... A small house stands alone by the shore. A girl with braided pigtails has been living there by herself ever since that day. Mail no longer arrives, yet this morning she still hangs out the laundry as usual. She remains unaware that all around her, the clothespins are squabbling, the pillow and the umbrella are arguing about the world outside, and the new toothbrush is awkwardly trying to be polite with the silent, older ones. Do things exist only to be used until they are worn out or broken? Do they fear being thrown away once their life cycle is complete?
