Synopsis
Based on Osamu Dazai's novel "Schoolgirl," this work is a first-person narrative from a female perspective, rooted in the diary of a girl who is a devoted reader of Tadashi. It was published in the 1939 magazine "Bungakukai." The story portrays a single day, May 1st of a certain year. Through the words of a female student living in Tokyo, it captures the adolescent heart, marked by self-awareness. "I want to live beautifully," the girl declares.
