Synopsis

Following the decisive battle that secured humanity's future, the hero Max and their allies achieved victory over the powerful Demon Lord. In his dying moments, the defeated Maou swore to return, stronger than before, and take revenge. A decade has passed, and the Demon Lord has indeed been reborn, but the process was imperfect, leaving him in a childlike form. Undaunted, Maou goes to find his old enemy, only to discover that the heroic figure who once opposed him is now a mere remnant of his former greatness, hardly recognizable. Though initially disappointed, Maou decides to move in with Max, intending to reshape him back into a worthy opponent. As the demon investigates the events of the past ten years, he learns the hidden reasons behind Max's decline—a story he had never heard before.
