The Legend of Princess Chang-Ge

Synopsis

Following the Xuanwu Gate Incident, Prince Li Jiancheng and his supporters were executed, and all six of his sons—except for one who died young—were implicated in the affair. The historical records only preserved entries such as "the second daughter, Wenxi County Lady Li Wanshun, courtesy name Wangniang, married Liu Yingdao" and "the eldest daughter, Li," leaving much ambiguity. Amid these unresolved mysteries surrounding the Li family, the Yongning Princess Li Changge emerged. Her parents had a strange and mysterious connection with Li Shimin. After learning that her mother had committed suicide and her father had been murdered in the aftermath of the Xuanwu Gate Incident, Changge fled the palace with deep bitterness. She took on a male identity to hide her true self, with the goal of raising an army and marching back to Chang'an to avenge her parents.
