The Ramparts of Ice

Synopsis

Koyuki "Koyun" Hikawa is a high school student whose aloof and intimidating demeanor hides deep insecurities and a habit of overthinking, both rooted in difficult experiences from middle school. A chance meeting with Minato Amamiya and Youta Hino begins to shift her outlook. Like her friend Miki Azumi, these two boys are not afraid to interact with Koyun and recognize the person beneath her hard shell. As Koyun spends more time with Miki, Minato, and Youta, she struggles to reconcile her growing sense of happiness with her fear of forming close ties. Each member of this emerging friend group bears their own personal struggles. Still, as they move through high school together, Koyun and her companions gradually open their hearts and fully embrace their youth.
