Synopsis
Xiao Ning was forced to leave her parents behind due to household registration problems and had to return to her hometown to finish her schooling. In the high mountains, she uncovered a hidden secret. After a strange, dreamlike night, she started to build new friendships and gradually became part of and grew to understand the distinctive culture of this large family. The ache of being separated eased, and the clamor of city life disappeared. She thrived in the mountains with freedom and happiness.
