Since I Wasn't the Heroine
Ta Bu Dang Nuzhu Hen Duo Nian
她不当女主很多年
Synopsis
During Beiyi's campaign to seize Baicheng—a key fortress on the northern border of the Daqi Kingdom—a fierce battle erupts. Commander Tang Yao and his soldiers fight valiantly but are eventually crushed, and tragically, everyone perishes except Tang Yao's younger daughter, Tang Ying. Tang Ying is especially furious that her father, who sacrificed himself for the kingdom, was falsely accused of treason after his death. Determined to clear his name, she heads to the capital, only to discover that the situation is far more tangled than she expected. Is there a link between the long-imprisoned second prince of Daqi, Yuan Lang, and Beiyi? Why does the woman impersonating Tang Ying look so much like her? What is the truth behind the supernatural being that Yao Niang from the film department mentioned? And what do the recurring, disturbing memories mean? Tang Ying must solve these intricate mysteries.
