Synopsis

Continues the story of Transformers Energon

Ten years have passed since the decisive battle against Unicron. Many Decepticons who once fought that war have now allied with the Autobots to mine Energon, an alternative power source. However, a fresh threat has emerged in the form of Alpha Q, who schemes to steal the Energon from the Autobots with the aid of Scorponok and the Terrorcons. This new evil force seeks to resurrect both Megatron and Unicron, aiming to reignite the flames of their ancient conflict.

In this installment

A massive black hole is on the verge of consuming the entire universe, including the Transformers' home world of Cybertron. As Galaxy Convoy and his team seek a way to stop it, the Transformers flee their collapsing planet and infiltrate Earth, operating as "robots in disguise." Galaxy Convoy meets Vector Prime, who reveals the existence of the "Planet Force"—an ancient artifact capable of restoring entire planets, believed lost thousands of years ago alongside Cybertronian explorers who failed to construct a space bridge to the edge of the universe. Thus, Galaxy Convoy and the Cybertron warriors he commands set out on a grand journey across the cosmos to locate the Planet Force and awaken the ancient warrior Primus, hoping to save the universe. However, Master Megatron and his followers scheme to seize this power for themselves, aiming to dominate the entire universe. They relentlessly stand in the way of Galaxy Convoy and his allies. Will Galaxy Convoy and his friends succeed in obtaining the Planet Force safely? Note: The international version treats this series as a direct sequel to Micron Densetsu (Armada) and Superlink (Energon), featuring references to characters and events from both shows, as well as an additional scene in episode 51 that links the three series. Note: The US release initially combined episodes 1 and 2 into a single episode, and later aired a dubbed version of episode 2 as episode 52.

Background

The series was supposed to be the final installment of the Unicron Trilogy formed with the previous two series, Transformers Micron Densetsu and Transformers Superlink. However, the Japanese production did not follow through on this intent by Hasbro, scripting the series as an independent story unconnected to the preceding shows. The English dub partially modified the series to establish links back to the two series, including changes to dialogue.
