Synopsis

The 2025 sequel to Ne Zha, a Chinese animated fantasy film directed by Jiaozi, follows after Ne Zha and Ao Bing are struck down by celestial lightning, losing their bodies. Master Taiyi depletes his Seven-Colored Sacred Lotus to keep their souls alive, placing them in weak new vessels. Dragon King Ao Guang proposes a truce: the two must share Ne Zha's body for seven days and complete three trials to gain immortality, earning a potion that will fully restore Ao Bing. As they advance, they uncover that celestial cultivator Wuliang engineered the fall of Chentang Pass and blamed the dragons for it. Ne Zha must use the cauldron's samadhi fire to shape a true new body for himself and be reborn.
