Synopsis

Continues the story of Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend

In Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, Tomoya Aki is a devoted otaku who dedicates his life to amassing an extensive library of anime and light novels, completely captivated by their narratives and characters. Driven by a desire to craft his own game and share that enthusiasm with the world, Tomoya recognizes that he cannot achieve this feat alone. Leveraging his network, he recruits his childhood friend, the talented illustrator Eriri Spencer Sawamura, and the literary prodigy Utaha Kasumigaoka to handle the script, while he takes on the role of director. With this formidable team in place, Tomoya seeks inspiration for his visual novel and encounters Megumi Katou, a gentle and beautiful girl whose demeanor serves as the blueprint for the game's protagonist. Equipped with his expertise, Tomoya launches a new doujin circle with the ambition of touching every player's heart. However, he quickly discovers that to inject genuine emotion into their creation, each team member must draw upon their own personal life experiences.

In this installment

Following the completion of the initial route of his visual novel, Tomoya Aki, the creator behind Blessing Software, is optimistic about the potential of his team and their goal to produce the best game of the season. However, there are still obstacles to overcome. Megumi Katou, despite being a key character, still lacks the vibrant personality Tomoya envisions for an ideal heroine. Her subdued nature often causes her to be overlooked by the rest of Blessing Software, including Eriri Spencer Sawamura, Utaha Kasumigaoka, and Michiru Hyoudou, who find it hard to engage with her due to her lack of distinctiveness. Throughout the development process, Blessing Software faces the pressures of tight deadlines and continuous revisions, along with the challenges inherent in group collaboration.
