Synopsis
In 2004, Binzume Yousei is a slice-of-life tale about four fairies, each linked to a differently colored bottle. The fairies include the very energetic Kururu, the timid and elegant Chiriri, the tomboyish Sarara who loves samurai, and the quiet yet quirky Hororo. Attracted to the human world, these fairies have traveled from their fairy realm to take part in yearly customs and learn about human life. Though they have little understanding of human society, they receive help and guidance from two humans: a university student called "Sensei-san," with whom they live, and a first-grader named "Tama-chan," whose innocence often mirrors that of the fairies. Even though the fairies frequently come up with unusual ideas and struggle to grasp this new world, they persistently try to embrace the human experience in their own charming ways.
