Synopsis
In an era of chaos, evil spirits run rampant and corrupt officials hold power. The underworld launches an attack, and the combined corruption of both realms poisons the human world. Snake catcher Xu Ying refuses to tolerate the oppression of ordinary people by underworld-aligned deities, so he rebels and kills gods. He also eliminates idle bureaucrats. Hunted by forces from both realms, Xu Ying goes on the run.
