The Dragon Dentist

Synopsis

In the midst of a brutal war between two neighboring countries, one side holds a decisive edge thanks to an ancient dragon bound by a covenant to protect their land. Despite the dragons' formidable strength, which can obliterate entire armies, their effectiveness is hampered by dental problems. To address this, a unique unit called the dragon dentists has been formed to ensure the dragons' dental health. Nonoko Kishii emerges as the lone survivor of a grueling and perilous selection process for this elite team. Candidates must face and accept their imminent deaths to qualify for membership. With an understanding of their predetermined fates, the dragon dentists commit to their mission. Soon after, Bernard "Bel" Octavius, a young adversary officer, joins their ranks after being killed by his fellow soldiers and brought back to life by the power of a dragon's tooth. Despite the ominous implications of his arrival, Bel is paired with Nonoko as a trainee dentist. Will Bel be able to adapt to the dentists' outlook on death and help them navigate the bleak destiny that lies ahead?
