Synopsis
At the Hudsucker corporate headquarters, a salaryman called "Me" is regularly subjected to violent punishment from his huge, bald, perverted boss. To endure, he clings to bittersweet childhood memories of his late grandmother, but his brutal work life eventually pushes him past his limit. After exacting sweet revenge, Me flees Tokyo, only to have his plane violently hijacked. He is thrown into the Pacific Ocean and ends up on the shores of the remote island Mahoroba, an ancient Japanese term for a far-off utopia. Note: Screened at the 13th Shimokitazawa Film Festival on September 20, 2021, where it also won the Grand Prize among 12 nominated works.
