Synopsis
Continues the story of Kokoro Connect
After failing to locate a suitable club, five students at Yamaboshi Academy establish the Student Cultural Society, or StuCS. The group consists of Taichi Yaegashi, an enthusiastic wrestler; Iori Nagase, a cheerful yet often uncertain individual; Himeko Inaba, a reliable tech expert; Yui Kiriyama, a petite but skilled karateka; and Yoshifumi Aoki, the group's joker. Suddenly, Aoki and Yui undergo an inexplicable body swap, triggering confusion and chaos. As these supernatural exchanges persist among the five friends, they realize the severity of their predicament. Forced into an intimacy they never sought, the group begins to expose their deepest secrets and emotional struggles, revelations that threaten to dismantle both the StuCS and their friendship.
In this installment
The crew has already been through body swaps that felt like a twisted game of musical chairs, random age flips, and their deepest desires hijacking them out of nowhere. But if you think Heartseed is done with Taichi, Iori, Himeko, Yoshifumi, and Yui, think again. A strange new condition is spreading, and it's called emotion sickness: your feelings literally burst out of your body and hit someone else. That's already awkward enough when you're carrying around something like a fear of men or emotions you've worked hard to bury, but in certain situations, it can even turn lethal. What's Heartseed's angle this time, and why is he forcing the gang to spill their innermost secrets without any say in the matter?
