Cute High Earth Defense Club Love!

Synopsis

Set in the Taisho era, a time brimming with romantic allure and where compassion still dwells in people's hearts. Unzen, Sukayu, Unohana, Oshamanbe, and Aso are seemingly ordinary male students at Binan High School. They belong to the "do-nothing club" known as the Earth Defense Club, where they idle away their hours, and they share living quarters at the Kurotama dormitory. One morning, while the five are bathing together at the dorm, they spot a slimy creature wriggling in the tub. After a struggle to capture it, they discover it's a talking Pallas's cat named Nuru. Nuru reveals he has traveled from the distant future with a grave warning: Earth is on the brink of destruction. He claims he wants to protect the planet but has only come to alert them to the crisis, leaving the decision to fight entirely up to them. The Defense Club members are skeptical, suspecting he's just shirking responsibility. Unzen enthusiastically pipes up, "If it's fine either way, I'll do it! That's more stylish!" So the five choose to fight of their own free will, and Nuru uses feline science to transform them into the Haikara Romantic Troupe. Meanwhile, a shadowy trio known as the Bankara New Elite Squad is hatching a plot to take over the Earth.
