Synopsis

In the Year 4800 of the Star Calendar, the five Vidyadhara lineages formed an alliance on the Yuque, committing their sacred vow to writing. "This oath shall remain unbroken, standing stronger than even earth and steel," as recorded in the History of the Xianzhou: Exodus of the Five Dragons. By the Year 7379 of the Star Calendar, the Imbibitor Lunae Dan Feng sparked turmoil that endangered the sacred wood. In response, the Cloud Knights united with the Vidyadhara Preceptors to launch an assault against him, according to the History of the Xianzhou: Cloud Knights War Records. Addressed as the noble successor of the Azure Dragon and bearer of divine blessings from the heavens, he was destined to traverse clouds, bestow rain, and shape forms as the world's essence beckoned. He dreamed of shouldering his duties, performing the ritual dance with grace, and sealing the Ambrosial Arbor. He dreamed of entering a battlefield where sharp blades and arrows fell like rain, meting out punishment from the sky. He dreamed of being chained between jade pillars, pierced by long nails, and sealed in darkness. He dreamed of wandering aimlessly in the dark, pursued by lurking shadows. In all these dreams, he appeared as a dragon, a hero, and a sinner, yet never as a person capable of love, hatred, sorrow, or joy like everyone else in this world.
