In a society where a magical birthmark dictates one's power, those lacking the mark are branded impure and exterminated. Hidden deep within a forest, Mash Burnedead, a boy possessing immense physical strength but no magic, lives a secluded life with his father. His days are split between rigorous weight training and leisure, untouched by the world's expectations. This tranquility shatters when authorities discover his magic-less status, forcing a grim ultimatum: prove himself as a Divine Visionary to earn acceptance or suffer unending persecution. To safeguard his family, Mash enrolls in the elite Easton Magic Academy, an institution typically reserved for the most gifted mages. Now, he must survive this hostile environment and surpass his peers relying solely on his raw muscle.

Following Mash Burnedead's clash with Magia Lupus, his lack of magical ability is revealed to everyone. Even after his recent triumph, the Bureau of Magic assembles before the Divine Visionaries, who unanimously order Mash's execution. Before the sentence can be enforced, the evil Innocent Zero steps in, insisting that Mash must remain alive. Although Mash proves he can battle Innocent Zero, the death penalty stands. Fortunately, Divine Visionary Rayne Ames and Headmaster Wahlberg Baigan intervene to protect Mash, securing a temporary stay of execution pending the neutralization of Innocent Zero. Mash is granted his life on the condition that he qualifies as a Divine Visionary candidate by the end of the year.
