In the year 2089, eight decades after the first Space War reshaped the relationship between humans and the Zentraedi, the two species now coexist peacefully on Earth. A new danger emerges, however, when the Marduk, an alien race, appears within the Solar System. Hibiki Kanzaki, a rookie journalist working for SNN, finds himself covering the initial clash between the U.N. Spacy and the Marduk forces. During this encounter, he meets Ishtar, an "Emulator" whose singing amplifies the Marduk's combat abilities. Hibiki brings Ishtar to Earth so she can experience human life and culture. Alongside skilled Valkyrie pilot Silvie Gena, Hibiki and Ishtar must work together to find a way to stop the Marduk leader Ingues and prevent Earth's destruction.
