Synopsis
In the autumn of 2023, Akutsu, an elderly inmate serving a life sentence, faces the prospect of ending his days alone behind bars. A perceptive touch-me-not flower remarks, "What a miserable existence you've led," sparking Akutsu's recollections through their exchange. The narrative then moves to the summer of 1986, where Akutsu lives with Nana, a woman six years his junior, and her son Kensuke in a dilapidated apartment decorated with touch-me-not flowers. The story intertwines the brief resurgence of a declining yakuza figure with the unfolding drama of this family, as told by the flower blooming within the prison.
