Synopsis

During a history lesson, high school student Zheng Shaopeng fell asleep and woke up reincarnated as Yang Lin, a destitute scholar living in the Danzhu Dynasty—a time period he had studied. At first, he found it hard to adapt, but he slowly gained the trust of the local people by introducing small, modern-style improvements. Over time, he began to feel more at home in this unfamiliar world. Navigating an era filled with internal strife and external threats, Yang Lin witnessed the struggles of ordinary citizens firsthand. Drawing on his contemporary knowledge, he started climbing the ranks of the imperial court, striving to root out corruption and protect the Danzhu Dynasty from its formidable enemies.
