Synopsis

Naoto and Naoya Kirihara spent 15 years confined in a research facility because of their supernatural abilities. After the psychic barrier that isolated them from the world vanished, they finally escaped—only to learn that their parents had abandoned them out of fear. Despite wishing for a normal life, they find themselves compelled to use their powers to protect others as minus energy spreads across the globe, causing a rise in psychic-related crimes. Adjusting to this new reality is difficult. Naoya struggles under the burden of his telepathy, while Naoto’s unpredictable psychokinetic abilities have previously caused unintended harm to those around him. Joined by Shouko Futami, a girl who possesses precognitive powers, the Kirihara brothers work to stop a shadowy organization linked to the surge in attacks on gifted individuals.

Background

Night Head Genesis is an adaptation of the 1992 Japanese television drama Night Head. The series was released on DVD in five volumes by Media Blasters from October 28, 2008 to May 12, 2009.
